The Premier League club from Liverpool have condemned the social media abuse suffered by forward Neal Maupay after season-opener loss to Fulham at Goodison Park.

Neal missed several opportunities in the 1-0 defeat and later shared a picture of the abuse that he got on Instagram.
“This is what I receive for not netting. No one should ever get abused like this,” the striker share.
“We condemn the abuse and are investigating the people that have targeted our player,” the Premier League side wrote.
Fulham also supported the striker, shared that they are with him, and applauded Everton’s actions to investigate the abuse and the people who did it to face the consequences.
Everton’s manager Sean Dyche claimed about Maupay’s performance after the match that the striker did his job to get in the right areas to be able to score, and only luck stopped him from netting.
