The Philadelphia 76ers are very close to securing Nick Nurse as their new head coach, as the team hopes to win the championship with him.

Nurse will join Philly after he parted ways with the Toronto Raptors in April. With Nick, the Canadian franchise won the title in 2019 as, on the path to the title, they eliminated the 76ers from the East Conference ½ finals after 7 games.

The former Raptors manager will take over from Doc Rivers, who was dismissed after failing to reach with Philadelphia at least the Eastern Conference finals.

James Harden is still undecided if he will stay with Philly for the next campaign, but the arrival of Nurse can be a big factor if the Beard chooses to try to win the title with the 76ers next season.
