Detroit held off Columbus for the victory.

Robby Fabbri netted twice as the Detroit Red Wings won against the Blue Jackets 5-4 today at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI, handling Columbus their 4th consecutive defeat.

Lucas Raymond, Alex DeBrincat, and Daniel Sprong notched the other goals for the Red Wings. Goalie Ville Husso stopped 17 shots.

Alex Texier, Adam Fantilli, Sean Kuraly, and Patrik Laine scored for the Blue Jackets, and goaltender Spencer Martin made 23 saves.

Fabbri notched his 2nd goal in the match at the beginning of the 3rd period. The Red Wings player has 3 goals in 3 matches since getting back on the ice from a lower-body problem.

Laine got his organization back to within 1 after his power-play goal with almost 8 minutes remaining in the 3rd period, but Columbus failed to tie the match, and the home team won.

Columbus will play next against the NY Rangers in the Big Apple, while Detroit will travel to Sweden to face the Ottawa Senators in the 1st match of the NHL Global Series in Stockholm.
