Ferrari’s podium sitter in the first race of the season – Carlos Sainz will have to miss the upcoming Saudi Arabia Grand Prix as he diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery, the Italian team announced on Friday.
The Spaniard performer extremely well in Bahrain just a week ago, but was feeling unwell since Wednesday. He managed to take part in FP1 and FP2, but didn’t perform at his highest level.
His place in the second Ferrari car will be taken by Oliver Bearman, who will not take part in this weekend’s F2 schedule.
Carlos Sainz has been diagnosed with appendicitis and will require surgery.
As from FP3 and for the rest of this weekend, he will be replaced by reserve driver Oliver Bearman. Oliver will therefore take no further part in this round of the F2 Championship.
