Follow usFootball’s governing body FIFA has imposed provisional suspension on Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales over the ‘kiss’ incident with Spanish player Jenni Hermoso.

The incident has caused major uproar of disapproval in the footballing world and Rubiales had been pushed to resign from his senior position.
However, the president has refused to do so, which forced FIFA to step in the matter.
The governing body opened disciplinary proceedings against the 46-year-old and came out with an official statement on Thursday, which said: “to provisionally suspend Mr Luis Rubiales from all football-related activities at national and international level”.
“This suspension, which will be effective as of today, is for an initial period of 90 days, pending the disciplinary proceedings,” it added.
FIFA also prohibited Rubiales and other representatives of the Spanish federation to come in contact with Hermoso.
