Serious problems loom over Spanish side Barcelona, as the club could not register all of its players. According to the Catalan newspaper Sport. only 13 players are eligible to play in La Liga in the upcoming season.
Barcelona finished their US tour with wins against Real Madrid 3-0 and AC Milan 1-0, but lost 3-5 against Arsenal. So far during the summer market Ilkay Gundogan, Inigo Martinas and Oriol Romeu joined the team, but none of them are eligible to play La Liga games for now.
It’s all due to Barcelona’s financial problems, which the club has been struggling with in recent months. The Catalans cannot meet the requirements of financial fair play and are looking for options. Last season they activated several levers, but now it seems impossible.
Barcelona only have 13 first team players registered with LaLiga, as revealed by Sport.

At the moment only 13 players are carded for the Spanish championship. The list does not include players who have recently renewed their contracts. These are Alejandro Balde, Ronald Araujo, Marcos Alonso and Sergi Roberto.
In addition, two of the 13 named players are close to leaving the club – Kessie and Dembele. With Dembele, it is almost certain that he will move to PSG as the Frenchman even had to trigger a clause in his contract and buy himself out for 50 million euros.
