Andrew Mangiapane and Nikita Zadorov notched once and assisted once for the victory of the Canadian team.
Both teams have 89 points after tonight, but the Jets remained in the 2nd Western Conference wild-card position because of a better winning rate. Winnipeg will play 4 more games till the end of the regular season – 1 more than Calgary.
Walker Duehr was the other goal scorer for the Flames, which won 5 of their last 6 matches. Goaltender Jacob Markstrom finished with 33 saves.
Kyle Connor notched Winnipeg’s only goal, and Connor Hellebuyck stopped 32 shots.
Calgary will visit Vancouver Canucks on Saturday, while Winnipeg will face at-home Nashville Predators on the same day.
