The Catalan side manager, Hansi Flick, has praised the immediate impact of the Red Devils loanee Marcus Rashford, crediting him for the spark that led to the comeback triumph vs. Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League.
Barcelona trailed 1-0 at halftime, but secured a 2-1 comeback win as the English forward entered the match from the bench after the disappointing 1st 45 minutes.
“The way that Eintracht played didn’t surprise me,” Flick admitted. “I shared before the match that we must forget Frankfurt’s last match when they lost 6-0, because they are a great team.
“In the 1st half, Raphinha played everywhere, but that hasn’t been very helpful. In the 2nd half, we changed some things, and Rashford was crucial to give width and allow us to play differently, which led to the comeback.”
Hansi added that both goals for the victory were scored by set pieces, but that doesn’t concern him, as they are part of the game.
Barcelona face Osasuna next in LaLiga during the weekend as they are at the top of the table after Real Madrid’s bad form in the past several weeks.
