Flyers ink forward Tippett to 8-season extension

Forward Owen Tippett inked an 8-year deal extension with the Philadelphia Flyers today.

Owen, who was moved to injured reserve these days with a lower-body problem, is in what could be the best campaign of his young career. Tippett (24) is on pace to have his 1^st 30-goal campaign and over 50 points.

If he achieved that at the end of the season, the winger would surpass what he achieved in his 1^st campaign with Philadelphia back in 2022-23 when he notched 27 goals and earned 49 points in 77 matches.
