Owen, who was moved to injured reserve these days with a lower-body problem, is in what could be the best campaign of his young career. Tippett (24) is on pace to have his 1st 30-goal campaign and over 50 points.
If he achieved that at the end of the season, the winger would surpass what he achieved in his 1st campaign with Philadelphia back in 2022-23 when he notched 27 goals and earned 49 points in 77 matches.
Re-inking Owen to an 8-season contract worth over 6 million dollars per year gives the NHL franchise from Philly their 6th player who has more than 3 years remaining on their current deals.
Tippett was a 1st round selection by the Florida Panthers in 2017, and he had 14 goals and 33 points in 94 matches with the team from Florida.
