In a shocking revelation, Sven-Göran Eriksson has sent shockwaves through the football world. The former England manager shared that he is suffering from terminal-stage cancer, and doctors have given him, at best, another year to live.
“Everyone understands that I have an illness that is not good. Everyone assumes it is cancer, and that is correct. But I have to fight for as long as possible,” said the 75-year-old Swede in an interview with P1.
Regarding the doctors’ prognosis, he stated, “Maybe at best, one year, at worst a little less, and at best, maybe more. You can never be absolutely sure. It’s better not to think about it.”
