Rajon (37) was pulled over in Indiana’s Jackson County because of a traffic violation when an officer smelled marijuana.
They began searching Rondo’s vehicle and found a firearm and drug paraphernalia. The former NBA point guard was taken to a jail in Indiana, where he paid a bond. Rajon was not allowed to possess a gun because he had a no-contact order vs. him.
Two years ago, he had an emergency protective order filed by a woman dismissed after a ‘mutual agreement.’
In the demand for the protective order, the woman claimed Rajon threatened her with a firearm and admitted that she was scared for the safety of her children.
Rondo was part of the National Basketball League for 16 campaigns, last playing for the LA Lakers and the Cavs during the 2021-22 campaign. Rajon was a 4-time All-Star and 2-time league champ.
