Erling hasn’t played since the 1-0 loss against Aston Villa on December 6th. The Norwegian resumed training during the trip to Saudi Arabia for the FIFA Club World Cup at the end of last year.
The striker has netted 19 goals this campaign despite missing the last 10 matches and is set to the roster vs. Burnley on Wednesday.
“First time Haaland is back,” Pep admitted in his news conference today.
“We have all the players; we are stronger. Erling is a crucial part of our squad.”
The Sky Blues will play against Burnley on the back of a 7-game winning streak, including the 1-0 win vs. Spurs in the FA Cup a few days ago.
