Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley claimed he has received assurances from the directors that he will remain with the organization beyond the November 10th trade deadline.
“When they told me that, without a doubt, it means a lot,” the running back revealed after yesterday’s 27-10 defeat against the Commanders.
“In the whole time, in my mind, I know that we have a little problem right now, and I believe that I’m the kind of footballer and person that can help the team get out of it. I want to 1 of the reasons that we fix it.”
Philadelphia has lost 6 consecutive matches and are now 2-6 in the current campaign. The Eagles have 1 match remaining before the trade deadline, at home vs. the NFC East-leading Giants next weekend.
Howie Roseman has been among the most active GMs when it comes to trades during his time and has already made what can be considered a “sell” move by dealing OL Cam Jurgens and a 2027 7th-round selection to the Ravens this month for a next year’s 5th-round selection and a 2028 2nd-rounder.
