Tests have revealed that Baltimore Ravens QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley sustained a campaign-ending turf toe problem.
Tyler was injured in the 1st half of the past weekend’s 36-10 defeat against the Bills. With Lamar Jackson out without a timetable for his return with a thumb problem and Huntley’s campaign now confirmed to be over, Baltimore have turned to rookie Joe Fagnano to begin TNF’s match vs. the Jaguars.
Joe will be only the 2nd undrafted rookie QB to start for Baltimore (4-4) in their 32-year history.
Lamar was injured on the 1st offensive play for Baltimore on Sunday. Jackson is on injured reserve and could miss the rest of the campaign.
Fagnano was also injured during the past weekend and wore a brace over his right ankle during yesterday’s training.
“Every match you got bumps and bruises,” shared Joe, who was 10-for-21 for 91 yards with 1 pick in his league debut vs. Buffalo. “It’s just football, a physical match we play. It feels amazing, though.”
Joe’s reserves are Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis, both of whom joined Baltimore within 4 days of the upcoming match.
