PSG defeated Manchester City 4-2 at Etihad Stadium. The defending Champions League champions led 3-0 at halftime, but the Sky Blues showed a different face in the second half and played much better.
In the 1st 45 minutes, there was only 1 team on the pitch as Luis Enrique’s side dominated and scored 3 goals by Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha.
During the break, Enzo Maresca made 3 substitutions, and Man City looked much better as Erling Haaland scored twice and came close to a hat-trick, but Safonov made crucial saves. The crucial moment in the 2nd half came in the 62nd minute, when PSG scored to make it 4-1, and Donaruma can be blamed for allowing Maghnes Akliouche to score.
In the final minute of regular time, the French team had a perfect chance to score a 5th goal, but Ferran Torres missed a penalty.
The former head coach of Man City, Pep Guardiola, was at the stadium as he watched the Sky Blues at the Etihad for the 1st time since the club was found guilty by the Premier League of 114 charges.
