PSG will lift the Champions League trophy for a 2nd consecutive season after they defeated Arsenal in a shootout after a 1-1 in the regular and extra time and 4-3 in the penalties.
Things began fantastically for Mikel Arteta and his team as they secured the lead in the match after only 6 minutes. The ball went to Kai Havertz, and the German scored from inside the box under the crossbar to open the score in the final.
That allowed the Gunners to defend, and they were very great at that as they shut down PSG in the 1st half and were leading after the 1st 45 minutes.
Things continued to be good for the north London club until Cristhian Mosquera in the 62nd made a penalty and Ousmane Dembele converted it in the 65th minute to tie the result.
Neither team took any big risks, and the regular time ended in a draw, as the same thing also happened in the extra 30 minutes, and the title was decided after a shootout.
Eze and Gabriel failed to score for Arsenal as the Brazilian defender’s penalty was the deciding factor that secured the trophy for PSG.
