The Gunners sold the attacker to the Saudi Arabian club.

Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli has joined Saudi Arabian team Al-Hilal for a fee of 60 million pounds.

The transfer, which is worth a guaranteed 60 million pounds and features a sell-on fee, ends the Brazilian forward’s 7-year stay at Emirates.

Gabriel, who is 25 years old, has inked a 4-year contract with the Saudi Arabian side, which is currently joint-top of the league with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

Martinelli joined the North London club in 2019 from Brazilian team Ituano and had 1 year remaining on his contract with the Gunners, but head coach Mikel Arteta told him he was not part of his plans for the current campaign.

“I’m proud to join Al-Hilal and can’t wait to be on the pitch” shared the Brazilian after the news of his transfer. Gabriel will team up with Ollie Watkins at his current club after Aston Villa sold the forward for 51 million pounds a few days ago.

The Brazilian, who played 53 matches in all tournaments for Arsenal in the past campaign, will earn significantly more than his 180,000 pounds per week at the Gunners.
