Formula 1 has unveiled the sprint race schedule for the 2026 season, confirming six events that will bring the full throttle excitement.
Three new circuits will host a sprint for the first time: Canada, Netherlands and Singapore. They join Shanghai, Miami, and Silverstone, with the latter set to stage its first sprint since 2021.
Both Shanghai and Miami will remain sprint fixtures for a third consecutive season, because of the good results in recent years.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali praised the continued growth of sprint weekends, stressing their importance in boosting fan engagement both at the track and on TV.
“Sprints continue to grow, increasing their positive impact on Formula 1 and their popularity,” Domenicali said. “Thanks to this format, we have four key races instead of two. So there is even more action every day for fans, television and promoters. All this leads to more people in the stands and increased television interest.”
The 2026 season will mark the sixth year since the sprint format was introduced.
