He ties himself with Jacksonville until 2027

Foyesade Oluokun, linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, has reportedly inked a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2027 season, as per various media outlets on Friday.

According to NFL Network, the contract is valued at up to $45 million, with $22.5 million guaranteed. Although the team confirmed the extension, specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Oluokun, aged 28, showcased his prowess by leading the NFL in tackles during both his final season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2021 and his debut campaign with the Jaguars in 2022. In the previous season, he amassed impressive stats including 173 tackles (with an NFL-best 111 solo tackles), 2.5 sacks, and one interception returned for a touchdown across 17 games, all of which he started, for Jacksonville.

Throughout his career spanning 98 games, with 75 starts split between the Falcons and the Jaguars, Oluokun has amassed a remarkable 819 tackles, along with 9.5 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries. He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Yale University.
