Barca player Frenkie de Jong could be sidelined for 6 weeks after leaving the match against Celta in the 1st half with an injury as that leaves the possibility that he may not be healthy enough to play against Real Madrid in October.

Barcelona inked the Dutch midfielder for 75 million dollars from Ajax during the winter transfer window in 2019, but the player joined them during the summer as that’s how the deal was signed.
But with the Catalan club’s financial troubles in recent years, the Spanish team was willing to sell de Jong and even accepted Manchester United’s bid for him during the past summer. Still, the Dutch failed to reach an agreement about his terms with the Red Devils.
The club shared: “Tests carried out on the midfielder Frenkie de Jong show that he has a problem with the tibiofibular syndesmosis in his right ankle. The Dutch can’t play, and his recovery will determine when he will be able to be selected by Xavi again.”
