However, the most interesting thing happened after the end of the clash when the American told the crowd to shut up after they were very cheerful for their compatriot Rinderknech the whole match. The French public was very angry by that, and they booed Fritz and didn’t allow him to be interviewed on the court with the noise they were making.

Arthur won the 1st set 6-2, but then Taylor was the better player, and despite the crowd in Paris, the American won 3 straight sets to win the match.
Taylor will play against world number 23 Francisco Cerundolo in the 1/16 finals, and we can’t wait to see how the crowd will react during his match.
