Manchester United continued to be the more active team, and after a very controversial decision, they received a penalty for a foul. At first, the referee didn’t give a penalty, but after VAR review, he decided to change his decision in favor of the Red Devils.
Bruno Fernandes took the penalty in the 38th minute, but failed to score after his shot went over the crossbar, and the 1st half finished without goals.
In the 58th minute, however, Ruben Amorim’s side took the advantage. Leny Yoro scored a header after a corner, which was his debut goal for Man United, as he received a fantastic assist from Bryan Mbeumo.
Until the end, Fulham were the better team on the pitch, and Emile Smith Rowe, who entered from the bench, tied the result in the 73rd minute.
The home team even had the better chances until the end to score another goal and win, but failed to do so, and the match finished without a winner.
