The 5-time World Champions are reportedly ready to ignore Arsenal’s concerns that the forward may not be fit enough to play in the next couple of weeks.
The Gunners had hoped that Jesus would have stayed in London in order to continue his rehabilitation, but Brazil head-coach Fernando Diniz has called him up for crunch matches against Colombia and Argentina this week.
It is believed the national team is willing to investigate the 26-year-old’s condition before making a final assessment on his ability or inability to play.
Diniz justified his decision by stating it was entirely the payer’s will to join the national camp.
“I trust the player and him being here. I talked to Gabriel and he didn’t come here without planning.” he said.
“He said he is feeling good and was already doing things ten days before the first game and 15 days before the second game.”
“We thought it was an interesting risk to bring him here. He is in good condition.”
