Christophe Galtier has been appointed as the new head-coach of Qatari side Al-Duhail, replacing former Argentinian international Hernan Crespo.

The Frenchman was axed by PSG over the summer, despite lifting the Ligue 1 title and was subsequently replaced by former Barcelona man Luis Enrique.
Galtier still has problems looming over his head as he faces trial in December for alleged racism remarks, made during his tenure as Nice coach. The 57-year-old has denied all of the accusations and has plead guilty in front of the police.
In football’s regard Galtier has enjoyed a highly successful career inside France, leading bot Lille and PSG to Ligue 1 title. The managerial position of Al-Duhail is Galtier’s first one outside his country and he has a great chance to prove himself.
The 57-year-old will manage a side, consisted of former Liverpool and Barcelona winger Phillipe Coutinho. He is expected to make his debut against Al-Nassr later this month.
