The 31-year-old is still suffering from concussion and will not be fit enough to start the game, leaving the Raiders to scratch their head over his potential replacement.
The two main options are veteran Brian Hoyer or rookie Aidan O’Connell, but the team is yet to give information which of the two will receive the green light.
Las Vegas coach Josh McDaniels refused to share his plans as to which of the two quarterbacks will be on the line against the Chargers.
“I think everybody is going to get ready to go, and I think sometimes experience is a good thing,” McDaniels said. “It doesn’t mean that it’s going to determine how it’s going to go for one guy versus another.”
