Germany defeated USMNT 3-1 at East Hartford, Connecticut, USA, in Julian Nagelsmann’s 1^st match at the helm of the German national team.

The home nation took the lead after a superb solo goal from Christian Pulisic in the 27^th minute, but the half-time result was even after Ilkay Gundogan netted in the 39^th minute.
