The new German head coach started with a victory against USMNT.

Germany defeated USMNT 3-1 at East Hartford, Connecticut, USA, in Julian Nagelsmann’s 1st match at the helm of the German national team.

The home nation took the lead after a superb solo goal from Christian Pulisic in the 27th minute, but the half-time result was even after Ilkay Gundogan netted in the 39th minute.

Germany took the lead for the 1st time in the clash in the 58th minute when Niclas Fullkrug scored after Robin Gosens’ assist. The final goal in the match came only 3 minutes later when Jamal Musiala scored after Fullkrug’s assist.

Nagelsmann inked a deal until the summer of the next year after Hansi Flick was sacked last month after a series of disappointing results, as the last of them was a 4-1 defeat at home from Japan.

The new German boss’s next clash will be a friendly against Mexico on Tuesday as the match will be played again in the USA in Philadelphia.
