Back in June Gerrard said he had received an invite to visit the country, but was adamant that he would not take any offer.
However, that has changed and now the 43-year-old has taken the Saudi’s Pro League team, which finished 7th last season, 35 points off eventual champions Al-Ittihad.
The extend of Gerrard contract is still unknown. The Liverpool legend has been without a job ever since receiving the sack from Aston Villa back in October last year.
The 43-year-old becomes the latest high profile name to be attracted to the Middle East, which has acquired Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy this transfer season alone.
