In the Milwaukee Bucks’ 104-91 victory over the Boston Celtics, star player Giannis Antetokounmpo was forced to exit the court with a calf injury, casting a shadow over the game.
Antetokounmpo, a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists for the Bucks before his departure in the third quarter. He fell to the floor, clutching his left leg, and was assisted off the court by his teammates.
The Bucks later confirmed that Antetokounmpo had sustained a left soleus strain, ruling him out for the remainder of the game.
Despite the setback, the Bucks managed to secure an important victory, ending their own four-game losing streak while halting the Celtics’ five-game unbeaten run.
With three games left in the regular season, the Bucks remain in a favorable position to secure the number two seed in the Eastern Conference. They are scheduled to face the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks, and Cleveland Cavaliers in their upcoming matchups.
