NY Giants TE Darren Waller and reserve QB Tyrod Taylor were placed on injured reserve today and will not be able to play until at least the franchise’s bye week.
The tight end left last weekend’s defeat to the NY Jets with a hamstring problem. The quarterback suffers from a rib cage injury.
Manager Brian Daboll ruled both players at the beginning of the week. They will each miss at least 4 matches. If everything goes well, we can see them back on the field on Monday, December 11th, vs. the Green Bay Packers.
Both players join kicker Graham Gano as significant New York players to be put on the IR in recent days. The kicker needs surgery on his left knee and will most likely miss the rest of the campaign. Gano is expected to be replaced vs. the Las Vegas Raiders by veteran Randy Bullock, who was called by the practice squad.
