Alex Pietrangelo is barred for 1 match by the NHL commission for his slashing against Leon Draisaitl in the final 2 minutes of the Edmonton 4-1 win on Wednesday that tied the series 2-2.
Game 5 will be on Friday in Las Vegas.
“That was a very threatening slash,” Leon claimed before the punishment. “I feel these things have no place in our game. You can severely hurt someone with a move like that.”
The Canadian franchise captain Connor McDavid claimed that Pietrangelo should be punished. His head coach, Jay Woodcroft, also thought the same thing.
