Buddy will get 18 million dollars in his 1st 2 seasons and a 3 million dollars partial guarantee for 2026-27 as well as an option for non-guaranteed 4th season.
The Warriors are sending Philly a 2031 2nd-round selection it received from the Mavs in the Klay Thompson deal.
Pairing Hield with Steph Curry will give Golden State the top 2 three-point shooters over the last 5 years. The new addition is a 40% 3-point shooter in the NBA.
Buddy is part of the puzzle Golden State is piecing together to replace Klay who leaves for Mavericks after 12 seasons with the Warriors. Golden State have also inked De’Anthony Melton and Kyle Anderson, giving the organization more options on both ends of the court.
In the past campaign, Buddy competed in NBA-high 84 regular campaign matches for Philadelphia and Indiana.
