NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has received a 3-year deal extension and will be the face of the league at least until March 2027.
Goodell (64) has served in his current post in the National Football League since 2006. It wasn’t announced how much Roger would earn with his new contract, but given the NFL’s financial success, it was the most lucrative contract ever given to any commissioner in USA sports.
The NFL makes it official.

This is the 4th extension for Roger, who replaced Paul Tagliabue at the beginning of September 2006. He inked new deals in 2009, 2012, and 2017.
“Goodell did so much for the NFL with stability,” Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay claimed at the National Football League’s spring meeting a few days ago. “… It’s not an easy job, but he’s been working very hard and was crucial for the league’s success.”
Since inking his last contract with the NFL, Goodell has secured a collective bargaining agreement that has brought continued labor peace and 100+ billion dollars in media rights with different TV channels and platforms in the United States.
By 2027, Roger Goodell’s career earnings will be more than double what any player has made 💰
