The ex-Chelsea and Brighton man is not yet ready to return to football

Graham Potter has met with Lyon representatives, who have given him the offer to become their next head-coach, but the 48-year-old has politely declined.

The team is currently in terrible shape, having won only 1 point in the opening 4 games and sit rock-bottom of the table. Many believe current boss Laurent Blanc is due to lose his job after heavy 4-1 defeat to PSG over the weekend.

That is why American owner John Textor has gotten in touch with Potter, but the former Chelsea boss has declined the proposal, stating it still not the right time to return to football.

Potter was sacked in Chelsea in April after torrid time at the club and is currently taking his time to recharge before taking his next challenge.

The Englishmen struggled at Stamford Bridge, but impressed at Brighton, securing them a top-half finish in 2022 for the first time since their promotion in 2017.
