Ridley explained that he wants all of the spotlight to be on the Masters and the golf players and not on the breach between LIV Golf and PGA Tour.
“We did not extend an invitation to Mr. Norman,” Ridley told on Wednesday. “The primary issue and the driver there is that I want the focus this week to be on the Masters’ competition,” he added in his news conference.
Norman answered in an interview that it was “petty” not to welcome him in the 87th Masters. However, the main people of the PGA Tour – Jay Monahan, and the DP World Tour – Keith Pelley, are invited and will appear in the Masters.
