Pep Guardiola has expressed his full belief that Jack Grealish will be able to fight his way back to the first team going into Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Young Boys.
Grealish has not enjoyed a good time during the 2023-24 campaign as he struggled with injury last month and in general has not been the same since the Treble win.
He has sat out City’s last 4 games and his last start was on October 4 against RB Salzburg.
“I don’t have a piece of doubt about Jack,” Guardiola said.
“He needs rhythm – he’s not like [Phil] Foden or Bernardo [Silva] who need two or three training sessions to be ready. He’s incredibly focused to get back and we’re going to use him and we believe he will help us.”
The Citizens are so far enjoying a 100% record in Group G and will be looking to continue that run in Switzerland.
