Pep Guardiola heaped praise for Manchester City’s next opponent Fluminense in the Club World Cup final, which will take place on December 22.
Guardiola expressed his delight with the Brazilian’s style of play, comparing it to that of the Brazilian national team of the 20th century.
Pep Guardiola on Fernando Diniz’s Fluminense:
“I love it! I love the build-up, I love how they exchange passes. I love it. I know perfectly well the team we're going to face.” pic.twitter.com/FvoL4Ujcwh

“The way they play, we’ve never faced, never,” said Guardiola.
“I love it. I love the build-up. I love how they associate between each other.”
“They play a typical Brazil style from the 1970s, ’80s, early ’90s – until 1994, when they won the World Cup in the United States.”
“We will have to impose our rhythm and our positional game as best as possible and do a good performance, because we know without it, it will be so difficult to win the final.”
The Citizens will aim to become the 4th English team to lift the prestigious trophy, which will be their 5th major success this year after the Premier League, FA Cup, Champions League and UEFA Super Cup.
