The Sky Blues’ head coach, Pep Guardiola, has apologized to his player, Kalvin Phillips, for not selecting him in the EPL this campaign but shares that he “struggles to see him” in his starting team.
The England international has yet to start for the Premier League and UCL treble champions, limiting his time on the pitch to just 90 minutes since the beginning of the season.
“I am so, so sorry” 🙁

Phillips is benched even in the absence of Rodri, as he didn’t even enter the pitch in the team’s 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa two days ago, despite the Spaniard midfield being unavailable for the clash.
“Kalvin doesn’t deserve what has happened to him, and I’m sorry for this.
“The only thing I can share about him is that I’m demanding good personalities and characters, and Phillips is a perfect example.”
