The Sky Blues head coach, Pep Guardiola, shared that he cannot be sure Ederson will remain on the team after the end of the current transfer window.
The Brazilian goalkeeper is wanted by Saudi Arabian teams.
Pep revealed at the end of the past campaign he still regarded the Brazilian as his 1st-choice goalkeeper, even though he picked reserve Stefan Ortega for the 1st-leg of their UCL ¼ finals against Real Madrid.
Speaking with reporters after his team’s 4-3 loss against Celtic in North Carolina, Pep shared: “I would love Ederson to remain our player, but it depends on other teams.
“I don’t know details. There have been no contacts in the past few days. We are focused on training, and Ederson is with us at the moment, and we will see what will happen when the transfer window closes.”
The Brazilian came on at half-time during the Sky Blues’ defeat against the Scottish giants in Chapel Hill, which was the EPL champions’ opening pre-season match.
