The Norwegian had a remarkable debut campaign for Manchester City as he bagged 52 goals across all competitions, breaking record after record and helping his side grab hold of a historic Treble.
The 23-year-old was in competition with teammates Kevin de Bruyne and John Stones, along with Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka and ex-Spurs striker Harry Kane.
Haaland was also nominated for best young player, but that award went to Saka, who contributed to 14 goals and 11 assists in what proved to be a spectacular year for the young Englishman.

All of them were included in the team of the year, which was primarily dominated by City and Arsenal players (5 from the champions and 4 from the Gunners).
