Germany will begin the championship vs. Steve Clarke’s Scots on 14 June in Munich, with Hungary and Switzerland the other 2 nations in the group.
Hamann played 59 matches for Germany over 8 years, and his club career went mainly in the UK.
“In the past 2 World Cups, we got knocked out in the 1st round,” Dietmar shared with BBC.
“We’ve got very concerning problems. We lost probably more matches in 2023 than we triumphed. We lost against Poland and Belgium, and after a couple of weeks, we were defeated by a second-string Turkey team. Austria also trashed us. Our national football team is in huge trouble ahead of the home Euro.”
