Lewis Hamilton is on the verge of signing a new deal with his current team Mercedes.
All this comes after Hamilton was heavily linked with a record-breaking £40m deal with Ferrari. Speaking in front of the media on Thursday Hamilton denied all of the rumours and claimed that he hasn’t been in contact with the Ferrari’s board.
‘My personal team are working closely behind the scenes with Toto and we are almost at the end of having a contract ready.‘ he said.
‘Having a team to focus on that job is a much better position than I was in before. I used to do it all on my own and it was very stressful and I don’t have to do that anymore.‘
Ferrari’s team principal Frederik Vasseur also denied that the team had held talks with Hamilton over the past weeks.
