Philadelphia 76ers’ James Harden, is missing the team’s practice for the second day in a row, with the club announcing that he is not with the team because of a personal issue.
“I think everyone at the club is clear what’s going on. You work day in and day out on the case and I hope we have a solution to move on to our next tasks. We had a really good training session today. Very energetic. The guys who were here are the team , which we’re focused on,” Philadelphia coach Nick Nurse said.
Harden has yet to play in the preseason. He joined the camp and practiced with the team, at which time he continued to look for a transfer to another team via sale or trade. He himself stated that his relationship with club president Daryl Morey had deteriorated to the point of no return, comparing it to a broken marriage. And they say he can no longer play for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Part of Harden’s discontent stems from the belief that he should have received a long-term contract that never happened. Asked by reporters what is next, Harden was evasive in his answers, but expressed his readiness to play in the last supervised game before the start of the championship against the Atlanta Hawks.
