Dejounte Murray scored 18 points for his team’s victory in the play-in game, and Atlanta retaliated for last year’s 1st round elimination from Heat after 5 game series.
Atlanta will play against 2nd seed Boston Celtics in the 1st round of the playoffs as the first match will be on Saturday.
Kyle Lowry notched 33 points – the highest as a Heat player, but his franchise will need to beat Toronto or Chicago on Friday to grab the 8th seed and make it to the playoffs, where their opponent will be the Eastern Conference winner Milwaukee Bucks.
