With Atlanta's win the Milwaukee Bucks secure first place in the Central Division

Atlanta Hawks came out victorious by the tightest of margins in a highly-contested match against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Dejounte Murray scored 29 points for Atlanta as he sank three free-throws with 2:14 remaining to give his team the lead and then added a fall-away jumper with less than a minute to spare.

Onueka Okongwu also shone as he was able to nestle season-high 21 points.

The Cavaliers were severely hampered by injury crises – Isaak Okoro and Jarrett Allen were both unfit to start, as the Cleveland team had to place their hopes solely on Donovan Mitchell.

The 26-year old scored an impressive 44 points, with which he tied LeBron James’ record of 10 games with 40 or more points in a season. Mitchell also surpassed the 10, 000 career points mark.

Atlanta’s win means that second-placed Cavaliers can no longer catch the Central Division leaders Milwaukee, who clinch the title.
