England’s lackluster performance against Denmark led to a 1-1 draw, leaving Gareth Southgate’s side with more questions about their tournament credentials despite maintaining control of Group C.
England’s early advantage, thanks to Harry Kane’s goal, quickly dissipated as they retreated and allowed Denmark to dominate.

Denmark’s persistence paid off when Morten Hjulmand unleashed a stunning strike to equalize. Despite this, England missed a chance to secure their place in the second round. Phil Foden came closest to breaking the deadlock for England with a 20-yard drive that hit the post.
Denmark, on the other hand, will be left ruing missed opportunities to secure a victory. Andreas Christensen’s half-volley over the bar from close range and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s effort that curled just wide were clear indicators of Denmark’s superior play in the final stages.
