Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds is making his investment in Formula One even more visible after his TV advertising software company MNTN signed a partnership deal with the Renault-owned Alpine team.
Reynold, whose diverse interests include joint ownership of Welsh football club Wrexham with colleague Rob McElhenny, joined a group of investors last June, acquiring a 24% stake in the Formula One team.
The Canadian-born actor is the chief creative officer of MNTN and invested in Alpine through his production company Maximum Effort Investments. Alpine has announced that the MNTN logo will be placed on the team’s cars as early as this weekend’s Las Vegas US Grand Prix and key starts in subsequent seasons.

“A few years ago, if someone had told me that I would join forces with the Alpine team in Formula 1, I would have kicked him out of my living room after asking him to explain what he meant,” said Ryan Reynolds, quoted from the Reuters agency. To commemorate the deal, Alpine’s driver Esteban Ocon will wear a helmet with a Deadpool – one of Reynolds best-known movies.
