Humbert defeats Wawrinka to secure France victory over Switzerland

Ugo Humbert came out on top in his clash against Stan Wawrinka 6-4, 6-4 to help his team get to a winning start in the group stages of the Davis Cup on Tuesday night.

The Frenchman was in full control of the game and never looked like losing. He broke his opponent twice in the 2 sets and converted his advantage expertly.

France were on a roll as Adrian Mannarino defeated Dominic Stricker in the other match and the Frenchman were triumphant in the doubles as well to seal a commanding 3-0 win.

In the other groups Serbia was triumphant 3-0 over South Korea, while Chile topped Sweden with 3-0 as well.

The Netherlands edged out Finland 2-1 in group D, where the US will go against Croatia.
