Carolina Hurricanes won a postseason match for the 1^st time in 2 years. Hurricanes now lead three-one in the series against New York Islanders after a 5-2 victory at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.

Seth Jarvis notched 2 goals, and Carolina and his team ended 8 playoff defeats away from home in a row with the win in New York.
