Carolina scored 5 goals to secure their 3rd victory in the series.

Carolina Hurricanes won a postseason match for the 1st time in 2 years. Hurricanes now lead three-one in the series against New York Islanders after a 5-2 victory at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.

Seth Jarvis notched 2 goals, and Carolina and his team ended 8 playoff defeats away from home in a row with the win in New York.

“It means we got a win, and we’re up 3-1 in the series,” said Hurricanes star forward Sebastian Aho, who finished with a goal and 2 assists.

Game 5 will be on Tuesday, and with victory at home, Canes will advance to the next NHL playoffs round.

Jarvis added the feeling of winning on the road was phenomenal.
