Philadelphia improved to a 7-1 record since the beginning of the season.

Jalen Hurts threw for 4 TDs while playing through a knee problem. A.J. Brown had 130 receiving yards, and the Philadelphia Eagles won against the Washington Commanders 38-31 at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, to improve to 7-1 this campaign.

The Eagles quarterback was noticeably limping and reluctant to run because of a problem with his left knee, but despite that, he competed 29 of 38 passes for 319 yards and the touchdown passes to Brown 2 times, DeVonta Smith and Julio Jones.

Commanders (3-5) were defeated for the 5th time in 6 matches despite their quarterback throwing for a career-high 397 yards and 4 touchdowns. Manager Ron Rivera did not challenge a crucial 4th down catch by Smith in the 3rd quarter that would have been a successful challenge and could have been the key to the loss.

Philadelphia will welcome the Dallas Cowboys next weekend, while Washington will play against the Patriots in New England on the same day.
