Igor Kokoshkov to join Atlanta Hawks’ coaching staff

51-year-old Serbian Igor Kokoshkov joins the coaching staff of the Atlanta Hawks, ESPN reported.

Kokoshkov has already signed a contract with the club and will become the first assistant to head coach Quin Snyder.

Kokoshkov worked as an assistant coach in several different teams, and in the 2018/2019 season he was the head coach of the Phoenix Suns.

He also has experience in partnership with Quin Snyder, with whom he worked together in the Utah Jazz and previously in the Missouri Tigers. The Serbian also led the national teams of Georgia, Slovenia and his homeland, and in 2017 he won the European title with the Slovenian team.
